LAUNCHING SOON

Purpose Commons aims to build a world where all youth have the opportunity to cultivate purpose.

Having a sense of purpose yields immense physical and emotional benefits, particularly when cultivated and supported in young people.*

The Purpose Commons is a dynamic learning network where collaborators across the youth development ecosystem work together on projects that put the science of purpose to work for young people.

From youth contribution, to mental health, activism, and identity, we aim to build partnerships around topics that help all of us learn together about how to best nurture a sense of purpose and possibility for all young people.

Having a sense of purpose can positively impact health and wellness, social connection, creativity, academic success, and resilience.*

The National Contribution Project is the first collaboration on the Purpose Commons.

The idea is simple but the impact is great: a young person gets $400 to make a contribution to their community. The project is driven by the belief that contribution is a powerhouse for both givers and receivers.

Engaging in an act of service, innovation, and community-building doesn't just benefit others; it fuels personal growth, well-being, and purpose.

Why purpose? Listen to co-founder Dr. Anthony Burrow explain the science of purpose on the Hidden Brain podcast.

Join our robust network of young people, researchers, organizations that serve young people, funders, media, policymakers, and everyone else inspired by purpose.

Purpose Commons is generously supported by a coalition of funding partners: Hopelab, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, the Bezos Family Foundation, the Gambrell Foundation, Resonance Philanthropies, and an anonymous donor.
